Elliot & Joanne Guests at Jervaulx Blue Cheese Launch at the Abbey
May 16th, 2010We were VIP invited guests to Jervaulx Abbey for the historic official launch of Jervaulx Blue from renowned Wensleydale Creamery in Hawes The “new” cheese Jervaulx Blue, was launched on Saturday 15th May 2010. The setting was perfect along with the weather conditions cold but thankfully dry. This cheese was originally made by the monks in the grounds of the Abbey, perfected in 1150 – hand crafted in Yorkshire and passed down through the generations resulting in this deliciously flavoured creamy blue cheese.
We were well looked after for the evening and the cheese was fantastic it really is a must and it is available right now at Elliot’s – Samples available please come in and try this new cheese. We also have some very good wines to accompany the cheese.
